Driving Association Zuidwolde organised its annual combined driving competition on 24 and 25 May 2025. A special section for Para drivers was issued at this competition. For which many thanks !
Gerard Horst, supported by his groom Lynley Benneker and ground grooms Chantal Westerhof and Gerard Benneker, took part in this para class with Stapleford Shake A Leg.
The dressage test went reasonably well, unfortunately with some sloppiness. The test was judged with 61.3% and therefore 62.00 penalty points, resulting in a 5th place.
The cones test was completed faultlessly, but unfortunately exceeded the time allowed. This resulted in 10.13 penalty points and a 3rd place.
The A-track of the marathon was completed well within the time allowed and thus did not result in any penalty points. The B section of the marathon was also completed well within the set time frames. There were no faults in the six obstacles, but a total of 134.20 penalty points for time in the obstacles. This resulted in a 4th place.
With a final total of 206.33 penalty points the 5th place was earned in the para section. With points for improvement in all three sections, we still felt satisfied with the competition. Thanks to the good competition organisation and the good help from groom and ground grooms.
