Dressage
For the dressage test of a SWM competition, dressage tests have been established for competitions in the Netherlands, one for each class. For international competitions, dressage tests are set by the FEI. In SWM competitions, including the dressage and cones sections, a groom must always be on the carriage. The dressage test may be read aloud, but no pointing is allowed ! At FEI competitions, dressage test may not be read aloud and the groom, may neither point or talk to the rider.
In the SWM, dressage is judged on 20 parts with a maximum of 10 points per part, so absolute total-maximum 200 points. For your score (because dressage, marathon and skill are added together) this is converted to penalty points as volt: your score is multiplied by 0.8 and from that 0.8 is subtracted from the maximum score. For example, if you drove fine and scored 72%, or 144 points, then this is converted to 0.8 x 144 = 115.20 points and 0.8 x 200 = 160 points is subtracted from that, giving you 44.80 penalty points.
