On Feb. 3, 2024, Gerard Horst participated with the 8-year-old Stapleford Shake A Leg in the indoor dressage and cones competition at Hoge Hexel.
When preparing for dressage, the pony ran very promisingly. But upon entering the competition arena, the pony unfortunately became a bit looky, which did not help the dressage tests. In the first dressage test Gerard also made a course fault. The ratings of 171.5 and 177 points were very justified. So no victory points.
In the cones tests it went fortunately a bit better. In the first round no balls were thrown off, but there was a time penalty. In the second round one ball was thrown off, but finished within the time limit. Result: one victory point and even a first prize.
