On 4 May, De Heemhoeve's driving team took part in the dressage and skills competition at Wierden with two sledges, namely Gerard Horst with Stapleford Shake A Leg and Lynley Benneker with Stapleford Joint Venture.
First up was Gerard riding Shake A Leg. In dressage, Shake A Leg ran fine tests for us. Although she was fine when asked to stand still when practising, when standing still she dribbled a bit in the competition. But otherwise she ran consistent tests. However, the ratings varied quite a bit, 171.5 and 187 points (and one profit point) respectively.
In the cones tests, things were less satisfactory, even though this is usually the best part. In the first round, one ball was thrown off with a limited time overrun. The second round was completed within the set time, but with 3 dropped balls.
Next it was Lynley's turn with Joint Venture. Although at times a little restless in the dressage tests, they were duly completed. Which was also reflected in the ratings, both tests were judged with 195 points. And 2x 2 profit points were gained in dressage. A great result !

The first round of the cones test was completed well within the set time, but unfortunately one ball was thrown off. But still good for one profit point.
The second round was clear and well within the set time. The drive-off was then also clear and within a very fast time. Good for 2 profit points and 1st place in the day's ranking. Another great result !
