2nd part winter competition Haaksbergen

  • 20 November 2024

Saturday November 16, 2024 the 2nd part of the winter competition 2024-2025 was held in Haaksbergen. Lynley Benneker and Gerard Horst participated in this competition with respectively Stapleford Joint Venture and Stapleford Shake A Leg.

On this chilly day, Lynley and Stapleford Joint Venture had to be among the first to drive her dressage tests. Although both tests were done nicely, there was quite a difference in the evaluation of both tests (by 2 different judges). The first test was judged with 170.5 points and the second test with 190 points. The latter resulted in a profit point a 3rd place in the day ranking.

In the first course in the cones tests, Lynley with Stapleford Joint Venture shed 1 ball and exceeded the time limit. In the second round it went faster, but unfortunately 2 balls were thrown off. So no victory points in the cones tests.

Later in the day it was Gerard's turn with Stapleford Shake A Leg. Both dressage tests were not optimal and were judged with respectively 172 and 178.5 points. This resulted in no profit points.

The cones tests were more successful for Gerard with Shake A Leg. The first round ended in a clear drive, but unfortunately with an overrun of the allowed time by 1 second (!). The second round went faster and within the allowed time, but now one ball was thrown off. So in the end, both cones trials resulted in a profit point.
