On 24 and 25 August 2024, the compound driving competition Exloo 2024 was held.
Senne Boom took part in this competition with the Connemara pony Heemhoeve's Hope of Glory. This was the first competition for this 5-year-old pony. Therefore, it also took part in the impulse class.
The competition environment, which was completely new for the pony, did not upset her.
She does need to calm down a bit more in her movements, but with a score of 57.5% she eventually came 2nd.
The cones test was completed with a slight time overrun and 2 dropped balls, giving a score of 10.58 penalty points, but a 1st place.
The marathon went according to plan. The young pony can already handle both the road course and the obstacle course just fine. It was stated beforehand that the pony would run four obstacles in the obstacle course. And this she did with verve. She set the fastest time in 3 of the 4 obstacles and came 1st.
In the end, very satisfied with this impulse competition. The combination, driver Senne Boom, and pony Heemhoev's Hope of Glory, have shown they are ready for a competition career !
